For art lovers, probably the most important museum for Spanish art is the Prado Museum located in Madrid, Spain.  It is a short walk from the main train station. It is free to visit after 6pm, which gives you about 1-2 hours, however, be prepared for long lineups. The museum’s collection is based on the Spanish Royal collection in the time period between 12th to 19th centuries. It contains paintings by artists such as: Francisco de Goya, El Greco, Diego Velazquez as well as Titan and Rubens. Here is a sneak peak to the museum!
