Helsinki is a rarely visited city in Scandinavia. However, it does have interesting attractions to offer travellers who are tired of the crowds. Here are my top 3 attractions:

1) Kamppi Chapel of Silence

This chapel is a hidden treasure of silence and peace in this busy Scandinavian city which was recently built in 2012. It is free to enter, and allows you to enjoy a moment of peace and tranquility of pure silence in the middle of the city.

2) Helsinki Cathedral

The Helsinki Cathedral was built in the neoclassical style in 1852 and is quite impressive in size when looking up from the Emperor Alexander II of Russia monument located in front of this Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Cathedral.

3) Temppeliaukio Church

This Lutheran Church was built inside of solid rock by Finnish architects Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen. It is a very unique church to visit inside due to its original architectural design and location. There is no admission fee.
