Spain is one of my favourite countries to visit. Great food, great beaches, amazing architecture and it has everything from beach towns to ski resorts. Here are my top places to visit in Spain:

Some of my favourite cities of Spain:

Barcelona: For Architecture lovers this city is all about Gaudi. For others it has a beautiful old town, a port with fantastic seafood and everything else you could be possibility looking for.

Madrid: Offers visitors a royal palace, a famous art museum and many more attractions.

Seville: Seville is known for the Alcazar, Moorish architecture and is well documented in the history of Spain. It is located in the Andalusia region of Spain and is easily accessible from Malaga Airport and can be combined with sighting of other cities including Cordoba, Granada and Ronda.

Toledo: Is located only 40 minutes away from Madrid and can be accessed by train or car. It is a city where three religions coincided and you can still view the architecture of Christians, Jews and Muslims in one small city. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes as the climb up to the top can be challenging for some travellers.

Santiago De Compostela: located in the Northern part of Spain. It is the ending point of Pilgrim routes. Some of those routes stretch as far as 700 KMs.

Some of my favourite architectural places:

Alhambra: It is a fortress and a palace with Moorish architecture and a few Christian additions. Located in Alhambra, a beautiful old Moorish town.

Santa Maria De Montserrat Abbey: Is a short trip to Barcelona. This Abbey is located in the mountain of Montserrat, with fresh air and a wonderful architecture its a perfect place for a day trip from the busy Barcelona.
